deciphertheheartsmind: Worship is not a passive act. As an ummah we can’t lock ourselves away and practice Islam within the privacy of our homes. We must actively engage in the world around us and realize that in order to understand true worship we must initiate change whether it be to ease the current state of poverty by doing charitable acts or advocating for justice. This ummah could do great things if only we let go of “I” and realize the world is much bigger than us and our wants.
